Looking for a super nimble compact commuter, wave checker, or camper companion? Then perhaps the Benelli Tornado TNT 125 naked pocket rocket is the bike for you.
It’s a fun, stylish, fuel efficient, gnarly looking unit that in our biased but experienced view knocks the socks off other bikes in its’ class.
The petite Tornado’s 125cc engine cooled single with 4-valve technology offers plenty of smooth, controllable fuel injected power. 11Hp to be exact. But it weighs just 116Kg dry therefore even in such a small bike the delivery is plenty for nipping through town or having a blast through the hinterland to that waterfall in the hills.
Braking is solid. Benelli Tornado TNT 125 has applied their CBS braking (Combined Braking System) to this little bike. It’s also known as linked braking whereby when the rider applies pressure on the rear brake or pull the front brake, both front and rear braking systems operate at the same time.
Plonk yourself on to the extremely comfortable wide seat. At 780mm has plenty of surface area and firmness for pretty much all humans. With pre-load adjustment on the rear spring for adjusting to rider weight. It’s a mini bike….but it doesn’t feel like that on your butt. And ergonomically it feels good. It’s of course not a super long trip on the highway kinda bike but commuting 25-50kms is fun, easy, and fuel efficient…
The TNT has a 7.2L tank. Fill it with juice and it will cost you a grand total of approximately $15*. And you will clock up in the region of 300Km (2.35L / 100Km). *Based on $2.00 / L.
Overall length is 1770mm with a height of 1025mm and very manageable 116Kg dry.
Many of our clients who have grabbed one have done so because it will fit easily on to the front of your camper trailer on a rack, or back of the camper van, or even IN the camper van without any hassle.
This means there is likely no need to beef up your camper rear suspension to take the big cruiser on the back, or to tow the Yaris behind. Just look extremely cool with your Benelli Tornado TNT 125 on there!
Equally it will sneak quietly in to the corner of your garage just beside the roller door ready to roll.
They race these things in Europe tuned up of course therefore at it’s core it is a lot more than just a registerable LAMs approved fun/mini bike. And on the topic of registration it will cost you probably close to half of what a larger bike will cost you to put it on the road when the time comes.
Scooters for urban commuting are not for everyone, but the Tornado TNT 125 just may be right up your alley.
Interested? At sub $4,600 on road with 2 Years Unlimited Km warranty it’s kinda pointing towards stopping by for a test ride. Leave a message if you like to test ride and check the Bennelli info page on the site.
